MONAHANS, Texas — A Texas man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in west Texas on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:02 a.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1219 about five miles northwest of Royalty, Texas, in Ward County.
A 2012 International truck-tractor was traveling south of FM 1219 when, for yet to be determined reasons, left the roadway, and overturned, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Oscar Villarreal citing preliminary crash investigation.
The driver, identified by police as 55-year-old Orlando O. Garcia of Monahans, Texas, was pronounced deceased on scene.
Garica was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to crash investigators.
Weather and road conditions were clear and dry.
