EL PASO, Texas — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash last night which left two injured and one dead.
At approximately 8 p.m., Sunday, May 11, 2020, the El Paso Police Department responded to a 3900 block of Delta for a single-vehicle fatal collision.
According to police, the driver, 39-year-old Nathaniel West, was driving a 2001 Taurus at a high rate of speed when the car hydroplaned across a puddle of water and struck a cement pillar on the passenger side.
West and the other two occupants of the vehicle, 25-year-old Amber Torres and a 7-month-old child, were transported to University Medical Center.
Torres was pronounces deceased at the hospital. West and the infant suffered from minor injuries, according to police reports.
El Paso Police Department report this is the 28th traffic fatality of year compared to 24 this time last year.
