ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Police Department's Cyber Crimes Unit, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, arrested two men on charges for promotion of child pornography.
The arrests were made last week in Baird and Breckenridge, Texas, according to the department.
On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Spruce in Baird, Texas. There, police arrested 44-year-old Jaime Neal on a second-degree felony charge of promotion of child pornography.
The next day, Thursday, April 30, 2020, police executed a separate search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of East Elm Street in Breckenridge, Texas. There, police arrested 26-year-old John Nored on a second-degree felony charge of promotion of child pornography.
Both men are accused of downloading and uploading child pornography through the internet, according to the Abilene Police Department.
During execution of the search warrants, investigators seized electronic evidence from the residences.
Neal was booked into the Taylor County Jail and Nored into the Stephens County Jail.
Bond information was not immediately available.
Police say the investigations remain ongoing.
