BEAUMONT, Texas — Six southeast Texas men were arrested during an undercover prostitution sting in Beaumont, Texas, on Thursday, according to the Beaumont Police Department.

The sting operation occurred at a Beaumont hotel on Thursday, December 19, 2019, around 2:30 p.m. and involved plain clothes and uniformed officers with the Narcotics and Vice Unit.

Undercover officers placed ads online soliciting acts of prostitution, according to the department.

"Numerous individuals responded and reached an agreement to exchange sexual favors for money," read a statement from the department. "Six males showed up at the hotel room and agreed to pay for sexual intercourse."

All six men were subsequently arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail on charges for prostitution. Police identified the individuals as 25-year-old Quentin Bloodworth and 45-year-old Timothy Mitchell, both of Orange, Texas, 23-year-old Donell Gallien and 45-year-old Luis Planas, both of Beaumont, 48-year-old John Parrot of Vidor, Texas, and 30-year-old Ahsan Tariq of Port Arthur, Texas.

"The Beaumont Police Department is working hard to stop human trafficking in our city," stated the department. "Many human trafficking victims are used in the sex trade industry. This is one of many ways we are working to prevent more demand for victims in our area."
