HOUSTON, Texas — Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says three children, approximate ages of 4, 7, and 11, lead deputies to their mother's body after their father turned himself into police and indicated his wife may be deceased at their northeast Houston-area home on Tuesday.
A male showed up to the Baytown Police Department to turn himself in on existing warrants. While there, he indicated his wife may be deceased at their home.
Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office deputies responded to the residence in the 13100 block of Ashley Meadow Lane and were met by the children who led deputies to their mother's body in a bedroom.
"It appears to be a traumatic death," stated Gonzalez, describing the incident as a domestic-violence-related homicide.
Harris County homicide detectives and crime scene are conducting the investigation.
The names of the deceased and suspect were not released, at the time of press.
