EL CAMPO, Texas — A convicted sex offender has been added to Texas' 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list and a $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his capture.
36-year-old Camilo Rodriguez is wanted in Wharton County, located just west of the Houston metro area, on July 2019 warrants for sexual assault of a child, failure to register as a sex offender, assault/family violence, burglary of a habitation, and criminal mischief. Additionally, the El Campo Police Department filed warrants in August 2019 for failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of sexual assault of a child.
He was convicted in 2010 in Wharton County for aggravated sexual assault of a child in connection with an incident involving a 13-year-old girl and was sentenced to five years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison.
Police say Rodriguez, also known as Cam Rodriguez, should be considered armed and dangerous. He has ties to Wharton County and the city of El Campo, Texas, where his last known address is located.
Rodriguez is described as 5'6", 165 pounds, has tattoos on his chest, right wrist, upper right arm, and has scars on his right shoulder and right knee.
