THREE RIVERS, Texas — The U.S. Marshals Service is searching for a federal inmate reported missing from a minimum-security federal prison camp near Three Rivers, Texas — which is located approximately an hour south of San Antonio.

44-year-old Fidel Lawrence Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas, was reported missing from a minimum-security satellite camp at FCI Three Rivers after an unannounced prisoner count on Monday morning. He was placed on escape status that same day, March 30, 2020.

Rodriguez is described as 5'11", 190 pounds, with black hair, and hazel eyes, according to a news release from the Bureau of Prisons.

He was sentenced on August 25, 2019, to ten years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Now, federal authorities have charged Rodriguez with escape from custody.
