EAGLE PASS, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the Partido Revolucionario Mexicano (PRM) gang was captured yesterday in Mexico, MyTexasDaily.com confirmed.
28-year-old Romeo Torres Jr. had been wanted for assault of a public servant, aggravated assault, and evading arrest/detention with a vehicle. He had been on the run for more than four years after absconding from his last known address in Eagle Pass, Texas, in December 2016.
Torres was captured in Mexico with assistance from Mexican government officials, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and special agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A $7,500 reward was being offered for information leading to Torres' arrest. Its unknown if a tip played a role in his arrest of if reward will be paid.
Torres' criminal history includes charges for terroristic threat, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a public servant, assault causes bodily injury, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and resisting arrest.
