MONTGOMERY, Texas — State Highway (SH) 105 in Montgomery, Texas, is closed due to a deadly head-on collision, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Initial reports from the DPS indicate one person was killed and another was critically injured.
The crash occurred around 7 a.m. on SH 105 near Pooles Road — which is located just west of Montgomery High School and the city limits of Montgomery.
There, a pickup truck and commercial truck struck head on, according to police. The cab of the pickup truck was completely removed from its frame.
As of 11:15 a.m., SH 105 remained completely closed between Old Dobbin Road and Lone Star Parkway.
