DEL RIO, Texas — UPDATE [Oct. 10] — A 13-year-odl girl who was the subject of an AMBER Alert and reported missing for more than a month has been located in Fort Worth.

The U.S. Marshal's Lone Star and North Texas Fugitive Task located 13-year-old Betsabe Perez "safe and sound" around 10:30 Wednesday morning at a Fort Worth apartment complex — nearly 400 miles away from where she was last seen in Del Rio, Texas.

19-year-old Erick Diaz-Tapia was arrested in connection with the teen's disappearance.

ORIGINAL [Oct. 7] — An AMBER Alert was issued today for a 13-year-old girl who is believed to be in "grave or immediate danger" after her suspected abduction last month.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 13-year-old Betsabe Perez was last seen around noon on September 9, 2019, at 208 West Drive in Del Rio, Texas. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black & white bandana on her head.

The AMBER Alert identifies 19-year-old Erick Diaz-Tapia as the suspect in her possible abduction. He is described as possibly 190 pounds, 6-fet tall, with brown eyes, and black hair.

Perez is described as being approximately 5'5" tall, 135 pounds, brown eyes, and brown hair.

Diaz-Tapia is believed to be driving a red, older-model four door sedan, unknown make and model.
