LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock Police Department officer bought a ride-on princess carriage for a girl whose bike was stolen and returned broken — warming hearts across the Texas panhandle.
Earlier this week, the Lubbock Police Department says Officer Jackson was dispatched to a report of a stolen bike. There, he learned a little girl's bike had been stolen and later returned to their back porch but, it was broken.
After speaking with the girl's mother, Jackson returned with a surprise in tote — a ride-in, battery-powered princess carriage.
"We hear a lot about how bad the police are and how they treat others but, not all of them are like that," stated the girl's mother. "Thank you officer Jackson, you made Emrie’s day and she’s excited and ready to play with her princess carriage!"
