ABILENE, Texas — A Dyess Air Force Base airmen was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography, the Abilene Police Department announced today.
Earlier today, members of the Abilene Police Department's Cyber Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the Dyess Air Force Base's Office of Special Investigations, executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence located in the 400 block of Avenue D on the Dyess Air Force Base.
There, police arrested 23-year-old Yi Huang and charged him with possession with intent to promote child pornography, a second-degree felony. During the search of the residence and vehicle, police also seized electronic evidence.
Huang, according to police, is accused of downloading and uploading child pornography through the use of the internet.
Huang was booked into the Taylor County jail. Bond information was not available as Huang had not been arraigned at the time of press.
