FERRIS, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Aryan Circle gang member was captured in north Texas after more than a year on the run.

49-year-old Scott Allen Vineyard was captured on March 6, 2020, following a traffic stop near Ferris, Texas, in Ellis County — approximately 20 miles south of downtown Dallas.

Vineyard has been wanted since February 2019 for robbery by the DeSoto Police Department and wanted by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for parole violations on two robbery charges out of the Denton County Sheriff's Office. His criminal history includes convictions for robbery, burglary, forgery, and drug offenses, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Crime Stoppers had offered a $7,500 reward for tips leading to Vineyard's capture. According to DPS, tip information received through Crime Stoppers is being reviewed to determine if a reward will be paid in this case.

DPS Special Agents, DPS Highway Patrol Troopers, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, Ennis Police Department, and Garrett Police Department were all involved Vineyard's arrest.
