IRVING, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive from San Antonio was captured in north Texas last week, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced today.
20-year-old Tyrell Ezekiel Darden, who is affiliated with the Bloods gang, was arrested on September 17, 2020, at an apartment complex in Irving, Texas.
Darden was wanted for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
"Working off investigative information received from the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Special Agents, located and arrested Darden at an apartment complex in Irving," stated the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Darden has been wanted since March 2020 after authorities in Tarrant and Denton Counties, both in north Texas, issued multiple warrants for his arrest on charges for aggravated robbery. In June, Bexar County authorities issued additional warrants for Darden on charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Darden's criminal history includes charges for aggravated robbery, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and possession of marijuana.
