A Tornado Watch remains in effect for a majority of north and central Texas until 9 p.m.
UPDATE 6:50p.m.] — A new Tornado Warning has been issued for areas area Carrollton, Farmers Branch, and Addison, Texas, in north Texas until 7:00 p.m., according to the NWS. This is due to radar indication.
UPDATE [6:33 p.m.] — "The storm moving through the immediate DFW area has weakened and the tornado warning has been canceled," stated the National Weather Service.
ORIGINAL [6:13 p.m] — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Tornado Warning for portions of Dallas and Tarrant Counties.
The Tornado Warning was issued just after 6 p.m. and is valid until 6:45 p.m., according to the NWS.
The warning area includes areas around Fort Worth, Arlington, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton.
A line of severe storms is sweeping across the DFW Metroplex. The severe thunderstorms are capable;e of producing large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.
Area residents are advised to STAY WEATHER AWARE.
