UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas — UPDATE [Nov. 9] — CVS is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting of a pregnant CVS employee earlier this month.

In an update on November 9, 2019, the University Park Police Department says the woman, identified by police as, 29-year-old Orelia Sade Hollins of Dallas, Texas, is now able to walk with some assistance, for short periods of time.

The woman delivered the baby following the shooting incident. Both remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Their current condition status was not immediately available at the time of this update.

In an interview with police, the woman described the suspect as an African-American male based on his eyes and tone of voice, which she described as raspy, like a "smoker's voice."

Police released surveillance video from outside of CVS and further detailed the man as having a "gait" while walking and running.

Police are still seeking leads from the public in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the University Park Police Department at (214) 363-3000.

ORIGINAL [Nov. 2] — A pregnant CVS employee was shot twice during a robbery in University Park on Saturday morning. Police say the suspect left empty handed.

The robbery occurred just before 6:39 a.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2019, when officers were dispatched to the CVS store, located at 3012 Mockingbird Lane, for a reported robbery with shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located the woman suffering from two gunshot wounds. A second CVS employee at the store during the robbery was uninjured.

"She was transported to Presbyterian Hospital by University Park Fire Department Paramedics where she was admitted to surgery immediately upon arrival," stated the University Park Police Department. "She was approximately 8 months pregnant - her condition and that of the child is unknown at this time."

"The suspect appears to be male (unknown race) approximately 6’ tall wearing heavy dark colored winter clothing with a hood," stated the department. "The suspect’s face was covered."

Police say the suspect entered the store, demanded money, shot the employee, and then fled the store east on foot.

No money was taken during the robbery, according to police.

The suspect remains at large as police continue to investigate.
