GRAPEVINE, Texas — Police in North Texas are continuing a search for a teen runaway now missing more than two weeks.

"16-year-old Alexis Hord ran away from her home in Grapevine two weeks ago, and we want to make sure she is safe," read a statement from the Grapevine Police Department.

Hord was last seen by her mother on November 1, 2019. She was wearing red Nike shorts, a black t-shirt, and possibly changed clothes before leaving home as she was carrying a black Nike backpack and a black suitcase.

Alexis now has two star tattoos under her left eye, and another tattoo on her collarbone with the words “nothing lasts forever”.

"Our detectives remain in close contact with Alexis’ mother, and have also been speaking with several of her friends, but have been unable to locate Alexis," stated the department.

Police say her disappearance does not meet the criteria required for an Amber Alert so they are asking the public's assistance in locating the missing teen.

Anyone with information on Hord's whereabouts is asked to contact the Grapevine Police Department's non-emergency line at (817) 410-8127.
