GARLAND, Texas — The Garland Police Department has arrested a Dallas Independent School District teacher on charges for sexual assault of a child, online solicitation of a minor, and improper relationship between an educator and a student, the department announced Tuesday night.

This morning, May 5, 2020, the Garland Police Department executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 4200 block of Foliage Drive in Garland, Texas. There, police arrested 59-year-old Robert Marc Flores, a Dallas ISD teacher at Emmett J. Conrad High School.

Flores was initially arrested on the charge for online solicitation of a minor and was booked into the Garland Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. After additional investigation, Flores was charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and a student. Bond had not been set on the two additional charges, at the time of press.

Police say the victim is a 16-year-old Dallas ISD student.

"Detectives believe this to be an isolated incident; however, they continue to look at the possibility there may be other victims," read a statement from the Garland Police Department.
