DALLAS, Texas — A father was killed and his son injured in an apparent road-rage shooting on a Dallas highway on Monday — the second road-rage-related fatal shooting on the stretch of highway in a week's time.
At approximately 10:04 p.m., on Monday, December 6, 2021, the Dallas Police Department responded to a 911 call of a major crash on northbound North Central Expressway at the westbound Woodall Rodgers ramp.
There, police discovered 54-year-old Carl Edmiston and his child both injured with apparent gunshot injuries.
Edmiston was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
"The victim and the suspect were involved in a road rage incident prior to the shooting," read a statement from the Dallas Police Department. "The suspect continued Northbound N. Central Expressway in a dark-colored vehicle."
