DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas woman turned herself in on murder charges in connection with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Dallas police announced Tuesday.
At approximately 11 p.m., on Sunday, June 6, 2021, Dallas Police Department officer responded to Charlton Methodist Hospital in regard to a man, identified as 24-year-old Keith Slade, suffering a stab wound to the chest area. Slade, who was brought in by private vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
"Officers were able to determine that the offense occurred at 8636 Willoughby Boulevard at approximately 10:15 p.m.," read a statement from the Dallas Police Department.
Dallas Police Department homicide detectives and crime scene unit responded to that location and processed the scene.
"During the investigation, it was determined the victim’s girlfriend, 24-year-old Tamara Lilly, was the suspect in the death of the victim," stated the department.
At approximately 2 a.m., on June 7, 2021, Lilly herself into police officers at the South-Central Patrol Division.
Lilly was subsequently transported to police headquarters and then to the Dallas County Jail where she remains held on the murder charge and a $200,000 bond.
