PLANO, Texas — An Allen man was arrested in connection with a Monday crash in Plano that injured three, the department announced today.

On Monday, May 11, 2020, the Plano Police Department responded to the crash at the intersection of McDermott Road and Preston Meadow Drive.

There, police say a 2019 Ford F-250 ran a stop sign while traveling north on Preston Meadow Drive and struck a 2020 Honda Odyssey minivan, which was traveling west of McDermott Road.

The driver and two passengers in the Honda Odyssey, including a three-year-old child, were transported to area hospitals with what were described by police as serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-250, identified by police as Jeffrey Alan Barnett of Allen, Texas, was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Plano police say Barnett has been arrested and charged with three counts of intoxication assault, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and resisting arrest, search , or transport.

The investigation remains ongoing by the Plano Police Department's Traffic Unit.
