SCRANTON, Pennsylvania — 44-year-old Justin Wade Lynch, originally of Texas, was sentenced Friday to 84 months in federal prison for an armed bank robbery in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced today.
Lynch was sentenced before United States District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion on Friday, September 18, 2020.
According to U.S. Attorney David J. Freed, Lynch admitted to the October 30, 2012, armed robbery at the Penn Security Bank & Trust in Peckville, Pennsylvania, which is in Lackawanna County. There, Lynch brandished a firearm and stole $12,470.
Lynch has been incarcerated since 2013 on an unrelated armed robbery conviction in Texas. The latest 84-month federal sentence will run concurrent with the remainder of the Texas sentence. Following his term of imprisonment, Lynch was ordered to serve three years of supervised release and to pay full restitution.
