AMARILLO, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers seized over 3,400 pounds of marijuana and over 2,400 pounds of THC products during a traffic stop last week, DPS announced earlier today.
At approximately 6:47 p.m., on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, a DPS trooper stopped a 2014 Volvo RV traveling eastbound on US-287 in Donley County for a traffic violation.
"The Trooper then discovered multiple boxes containing vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana and THC products inside the rear cargo area of the RV," stated DPS.
The driver, identified as 52-year-old William Davis of Sacramento, California, was allegedly transporting the drugs from Redding, California, to Houston, Texas.
Davis was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana and is being held in the Donley county Jail.
