LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department is seeking the whereabouts of 30-year-old Arthur Lee Manahan in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Ashaundre Grimes.
Just after 9:30 p.m. on October 23, 2018, the Lubbock Police Department responded to a report of gunshots near the 7-11 gas station located at 2526 Parkway Drive.
There, police located Grimes suffering from serious injuries in the parking lot. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died as a result of the shooting.
"Through the initial investigation, it appears Grimes got into an altercation with a suspect in the parking lot of the convenient store just prior to the shots being fired," stated the department in a release. "As detectives continued gathering information, Arthur Manahan was identified as the suspect in the shooting and a warrant was issued for his arrest."
Manahan is described by police as a black male, approximately 130 pounds, and 6’01”. He has multiple tattoos including a tear drop under his left eye, a tattoo on the right side of his face with the word “Loyal,” and the dates “5-12-80 / 3-22-02”. He also has a tattoo across the front of his neck that reads “On my own”.
