LAREDO, Texas — 10 illegal immigrants were arrested on Sunday afternoon after fleeing Border Patrol agents in a stolen vehicle just north of Laredo, Texas.
In the late afternoon hours of Sunday, August 25, 2019, an agent assigned to the Laredo North Station attempted to stop a silver pickup truck on northbound access road of Interstate Highway (IH) 35, near mile marker 30, when the driver failed to yield to the agent and fled.
The driver pulled off the side of the road near the 32 mile marker and continued to flee on foot — along with nine other individuals from the pickup truck.
"Immigration checks revealed that the 10 individuals, citizens from Mexico and El Salvador, were in the country illegally," stated a release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. "Record checks on the vehicle revealed that it was reported stolen from San Antonio, Texas."
