GARLAND, Texas — The Garland Police Department has issued a capital murder warrant for a man wanted in connection with a fatal gas station robbery in May.
Police are searching for 18-year-old Luis Alejandro Espinoza on the capital murder warrant. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.
On May 22, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., investigators say Espinoza and a second suspect entered a convenience store in the 4400 block of West Walnut in Garland with handguns drawn. They demanded money from the two clerks and, during the robbery, shot one of the clerks, identified as 30-year-old Heng Lam.
Lam was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, where he later died.
