AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit is seeking the public's assistance identifying an alleged suspect in two recent commercial armed robberies.

The first robbery occurred on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at approximately 5:50 p.m. at the Diamond Mart located at 5618 Manor Road and the second occurred on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at approximately 7:49 p.m. at Smokers Dreamz located at 6100 E. Riverside Drive.

"In both instances, the suspect entered the location, threatened a store employee with a handgun while demanding money, and then fled the store on foot," stated the Austin Police Department. "There have been no injuries reported in either of these incidents."

Police described the suspect as an Hispanic or light-skinned Black male, brown hair and eyes, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years of age, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, thin to average build, and diamond studs in both ears. He was last seen wearing a white surgical mask, blue bandanna on head, grey and black baseball hat with tape over emblem, blue zip-up jacket with silver or grey zipper with possible Duo Security logo, blue jeans, and hiking-style shoes.
