AUSTIN, Texas — Police have identified a man who died after crashing a stolen motorcycle in north Austin.
Police say 32-year-old Rocky Anthony Bell was traveling north on Research Boulevard on a red 2002 Honda motorcycle when he lost control in the 8000 block, struck the inside barrier separating the north and southbound lanes, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Bell was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say the Honda motorcycle had been reported stolen.

The crash is Austin's 26th fatal traffic crash of 2020, which have resulted in 28 fatalities this year. At this time in 2019, there were 18 traffic fatalities.
