AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department has identified two suspects sought in a fatal shooting in a Walmart parking lot last month.

On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at approximately 10:39 p.m., the Austin Police Department responded to the Walmart located at 1030 Norwood Park Boulevard in reference to a 911 call of shots fired in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, police officers and EMS discovered a gunshot victim, identified by police as 28-year-old Jose Vasquez, in the parking lot. Vasquez was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he succumb to his injuries.

Today, the Austin Police Department released images of two suspects sought in connection with the fatal shooting and is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individuals.

One of the alleged suspect's is described as an approximate 35-year-old black male, 6'1", large build, last seen wearing white T-shirt, white shorts with “Metal Night” print, and white Jordans. The second alleged suspect is described as an approximate 40-year-old black male, 5’10”, heavy-set, last seen wearing a black T-shirt, torn blue jean shorts, red/orange running shoes, black mask with white lettering.

A possible suspect vehicle was described by police as being a black sedan, possibly a Ford.

The homicide is Austin's 84th of the year.
